Arcadia is used to designate a place of rustic innocence and simple, quiet pleasure. A place where children aged 12 months to 11 years old come and don’t want to leave because of all the love and beauty and rich learning that they encounter.
WHY CHOOSE US?
Arcadia School offers a warm and friendly learning environment in which your child can grow and develop confidently. Each child is encouraged to achieve their full potential through the spectrum of activities that they will be guided through.
OUR MISSION
“Embrace Wonder, Unleash Potential!”
We are dedicated to providing a learning environment that nurtures each child’s potential and fosters their growth and confidence. Through a carefully blended curriculum inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori in the Nursery and British Curriculum in the Primary, we strive to empower our students with a love for learning and the essential skills to embrace the world with joy and curiosity.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to be the foremost preschool in Lagos, Nigeria, renowned for excellence in early childhood education. We aim to cultivate a community where children eagerly embark on their educational journey, reluctant to leave each day because of the immersive love and rich learning experiences they encounter. As an Arcadia graduate, each child will possess a solid foundation for lifelong success, equipped with the abilities to adapt, explore, and create confidently in an ever-changing world.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Arcadia School, we believe that childhood is a precious and transformative time, deserving of the utmost care and attention. Our philosophy revolves around the notion of Arcadia as a place where children flourish in an atmosphere of love, respect, and encouragement. We hold the following core beliefs:
Individualised Learning: Each child is unique, and we tailor our approach to honour their interests, strengths, and stages of development. By crafting personalised learning plans, we ignite their curiosity and passion for knowledge.
Blended Curriculum: Through our thoughtfully blended British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori curriculum in preschool and British curriculum in primary, we foster holistic growth encompassing cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
Nurturing Teachers: Our highly qualified and experienced educators are not just teachers but loving mentors who bring out the gold in every child. They cultivate self-esteem, independence, and a love for learning through play and interactive activities.
Safe and Stimulating Environment: We prioritise the safety and welfare of our students, providing a secure and vibrant learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and meaningful interactions.
Lifelong Learning: We instill a lifelong love for learning, emphasising the joy of discovery and the acquisition of essential skills that will empower children throughout their academic and personal lives.
Parent-Partnership: We value the partnership with parents, recognising them as integral members of our Arcadia family. Open communication and collaboration foster a supportive and enriching educational journey for each child.
Through our distinct philosophy, we aspire to be the best and foremost preschool in Lagos, with children who not only thrive academically but also embrace the values of empathy, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the wonders of the world around them.
