JAMB Directs 2025 UTME Candidates to Re-upload Their SSCE (WAEC) Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a directive to all 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates to re-upload their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results, particularly WAEC results, on the JAMB portal.
Quick Insight: This step is critical for candidates whose results were pending during UTME registration or who have recently updated their O’Level records.
Why JAMB is Requiring the Re-upload
According to JAMB, many candidates registered with awaiting results and have now received their SSCE (WAEC) grades. To ensure accurate admission processing, every candidate must upload a valid and complete result on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Who Should Re-upload
- Candidates who registered UTME with awaiting results (AR).
- Those who have updated or corrected their WAEC grades since registration.
- Any candidate who has not previously uploaded their O’Level results on the JAMB portal.
How to Re-upload Your SSCE (WAEC) Result
- Visit any accredited JAMB CBT centre nationwide.
- Provide a copy of your WAEC or SSCE result for verification.
- Request the CBT centre staff to re-upload the result on CAPS.
- Ensure you get a printout as evidence of the successful upload.
Deadline for Re-upload
JAMB has advised candidates to complete this process immediately to avoid delays in admission processing. Universities and other tertiary institutions will only consider candidates whose SSCE results are properly uploaded and verified on CAPS.
Note: Uploading or correcting O’Level results on your own without using an accredited centre is not valid. Always verify your status via the JAMB CAPS portal after re-upload.
