OUR HISTORY
Aquila Nidus was founded in 2012 under the leadership of Ajoke David. Aquila Nidus is the product of a divine mandate. Through revelation, hard work and persistence, Aquila Nidus opened its doors on the 10th of September 2012 to 4 pupils in the ground floor of her residence. Today we are still growing and we provide quality Montessori program to over 80 children aged 0 – 6 years.
Our elementary classroom opened in September 2017. The Gbagada neighbourhood continues to change around Aquila Nidus, and we continue to provide a haven of child-centred calm activities within our increasingly urban surroundings.
OUR MISSION
Our purpose is to serve the child aged 3 months to 12 years within a prepared environment designed to remove every obstacle which may hinder the child from creating their inner self harmoniously.
Using Montessori principles, we aid children in the development of their full potential and help them transform into confident, independent, joyful, self-directed learners who will fulfil their divine purposes on earth.
We partner with parents in order to help them understand how to adequately provide for their child’s developmental needs.
We provide a work environment that attracts and retains excellent professionals who are lifelong learners.
OUR VISION
We envision our graduates as generations of well-prepared individuals who:
are fulfilling their God give purposes on earth
are living with passion and habits of excellence,
share our universal values of honour, respect, integrity, responsibility and love

We envision our parents becoming empowered and deliberate in their efforts to create home environments that fully support their children’s developmental needs.
We envision preparing generations of passionate, talented and competent Montessori guides who are fully prepared as leaders in their professions, who will actively contribute to strengthening the practice of authentic Montessori in Nigeria.
