About El-Shaddai International School Ikirun
El-Shaddai International School was founded in September 1994 as a nursery school with few pupils and three teachers, including the proprietress in a rented building at Olorunsogo street, Ikirun. The school started gaining popularity through the help of God and application of the ‘special’ Montessori Method of teaching, which helped to greatly improve the performances of pupils beyond what was existing in and around Ikirun community before the establishment of the school.
In the year 1997, the school moved to her permanent site at Olonde Street and was upgraded to Nursery and Primary School by the Osun State Ministry of Education. In the year 1999, the school got her first school bus which granted opportunity for pupils from neighbouring towns to enrol, leading to a boosted school population. By the year 2000, the school started a secondary section and had her all-time high record of about 1,500 pupils and students each year from 2004 to 2007, with a staff strength of about 120.
Today, tens of former teachers and students of El-Shaddai International School now have and manage their own schools in Ikirun and other parts of Nigeria, adopting the strategy they were exposed to at El-Shaddai International School.
