History of Anglican Girls College, Ijanikin, Lagos

Early in 2006, the former and pioneering Diocesan and the wife Rt. Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Peter Awelewa Adebiyi had the vision to have a good educational institution with Christian ethics for girls. Thus the women organization of the diocese under the leadership former Diocesan wife, Mrs. C.A. Adebiyi took it as their project.

The Diocesan Board of Education of the Diocese of Lagos West under the chairmanship of Mrs. Adenike Adamolekun was then directed to supervise the inauguration and running of the school.

On 1st November, 2006, the pioneer members of staff commenced work and nine [9] students resumed on Sunday 4th November 2006.
