Gray's International College Kaduna
The institution which was registered with and was approved by the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, was established under the name Bright Star Nursery and Day Care Center in September, 1982, to cater for the welfare and mental development of children from infancy until school age. In 1984, there was a change in name to Gray’s International School when the primary section was incorporated.
With the sole aim and determination of providing an increasing number of primary school leavers with the opportunity of higher and qualitative education, irrespective of sex, social, religious or ethnic background, classes in the Secondary School commenced in January, 1990, in the Kaduna Campus.
The nursery arm of the College celebrated its 10th Anniversary between 15th and 21st November, 1992. The very first convocation ceremony for the pioneer set of the secondary school students took place in July, 1995. This celebration attracted a number of distinguished personalities to the College amongst which were:

Engineer M. Audu, Rector Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.

Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Hamza, Former SSG, Kaduna State
Prof. Jibril Aminu, Former Minister of Education/Petroleum Resources

Six years on, in 2001, Gray’s College, Ede, emerged. This arm of the College was established in the Southern region of Nigeria with the same set of aims and objectives as those already established at the Kaduna Campus. Another landmark in the history of the institution was recorded in 2004 when an eminent Nigerian educationist in the person of Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Hamza, mni, OFR, GCOSA, was installed as visitor to the College. During this ceremony, a number of prominent personalities were also conferred with the fellowship of the College. They were:

Prof. M. A. Daniyan, Former Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State
Subsequent convocation ceremonies of the College also engendered history in the making, as the College welcomed Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Amina Titi Abubakar, wife of the former Vice-President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Founder, Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF), as well as Prof. Oluremi Aina, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Shehu Idris, CFR, Emir of Zazzau, His Excellency, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Makarfi, ex-governor, Kaduna State and Late Engr. Stephen Shekeri, a former Deputy Governor of Kaduna State; All of whom were also conferred the award of “Fellow”, Gray’s College.
