History of Saisa University of Medical Sciences and Technology
The Universities of Medical Sciences are charged with the central mandate and mission of imparting medical education and technology in a scientific but practical way, coupled with research in medical sciences which would assist in achieving national sufficiency in medical and health services delivery within a short possible time while at the same time catalyzing and sustaining medical personnel resource mobilization for the overall development of humanity.
It is against this background that the Proprietor, through professional advice conceived the idea of establishing a University to be named “SAISA University of Medical Sciences and Technology” to be situated in Sokoto State. This Univesity is the first private medical sciences and technology university in the whole of North-West Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria.
The concept of the University of Medical Sciences and Technology is not restricted to Nigeria alone. In fact, such Universities are spread all over the world. In Nigeria, the Universities of Medical Sciences and Technology, being a relatively new development, are lucky in that they stand the advantage to analyze the faults, weaknesses and strengths of conventional universities that offer degrees in Medical Sciences
and Technology, and therefore develop objectives and strategies which are long-standing and tailored towards the production of better graduates as well as offer highly efficient services to the community as a whole.

excellence and hopes to assist the people of Nigeria and beyond through the provision of practical Knowledge, Innovations and
Technology in the field of Medical Sciences and other related programmes for transformation of sustainable growth in medical and
services delivery.
