BRIEF HISTORY
The establishment of Abbot Dayspring Schools is based on the need for a sound, balanced and efficient educational system that incorporates moral, emotional, physical and psychological considerations needed for the proper development of the individual child. The Nursery and Primary School (Lagos Campus) began on September 23, 1996 with few pupils, four teachers and a head teacher. The School has been practicing a special teaching programme to help slow learners and academically retarded children in resolving their peculiar differences. The college (Lagos Campus) came into existence on September 19,
2001, five years after the primary school began with a little above twenty students, six teachers and a principal. The Ogun State campus of the school (Nursery, Primary and College), began on September 23, 2013 with twenty four pupils and students, ten teachers, a principal and a head teacher. The schools have been approved by Lagos and Ogun State Ministry of Education, WAEC and NECO. The school is doing well in all subjects including French, Music, Phonics and laboratory practicals.
The name “Dayspring” which means the springing up of light depicts the vision of the school to bring educational light to the darkened world. This is to hewn out leaders for our generation.
