UNILAG Launches Stylish “Explore Seat Pods” at the Main Library
The University of Lagos has unveiled 10 sleek and modern reading booths—called the “Explore Seat Pods”—at the Main Library, marking a bold move toward futuristic, student-friendly study spaces.

Design & Purpose of the Explore Seat Pods
Described by University Librarian Prof. Olatokunbo Okiki as an extension of the 2023 Makerspace initiative, the Explore Seat Pods offer personalized, smart study zones for reading, deep thinking, exploration, and discovery. They blend comfort with modern design to help students “study smarter, think deeper, and connect better.”
Built for 21st-Century Learning
Designed and installed by The Eureka Consults within just two months, these pods represent a bold leap towards modern library infrastructure—enhancing both function and aesthetic appeal within the academic setting.
