The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 UTME mock examination, while also delisting more than 20 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres due to technical failures experienced during the exercise.

Quick Insight: Over 224,000 candidates registered for the mock exam, but only about 152,000 successfully sat for the test conducted across nearly 1,000 CBT centres nationwide.

How to Check Your Mock Result

Candidates can check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during UTME registration.

Why 20 Centres Were Delisted

JAMB removed over 20 CBT centres after identifying serious technical issues and operational failures during the mock examination. These centres did not meet the required standards for conducting a smooth and reliable test.

Technical Issues Disrupt Exam

Some candidates experienced delays and disruptions during the mock exam due to system failures in certain centres. The delisting aims to prevent such problems from affecting the main UTME.

Warning Against Score Fraud

JAMB has warned candidates to avoid fraudsters, especially those on social media claiming they can upgrade scores. The board emphasized that such activities are illegal and could lead to cancellation of results or registration.

Main UTME Date Confirmed

The board confirmed that the main 2026 UTME is scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026, urging candidates to use the mock experience to improve their performance.

Final Thoughts

The release of the mock results and the delisting of underperforming centres show JAMB’s effort to improve the quality and reliability of its examination process. Candidates are advised to focus on preparation and avoid shortcuts.
Tip: The UTME mock exam is a practice test—use it to identify your weak areas, improve your speed, and get familiar with the CBT environment before the main exam.
