Shell Companies in Nigeria provide Nigerian students in higher institutions with the opportunity to gain meaningful workplace experience through the Student Industrial Training Programme (SIWES). The programme is structured to expose students to real industry operations while preparing them for future professional careers.
Programme Overview:
SIWES at Shell is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry application, helping students develop confidence, competence, and professional awareness.
1. Eligible Courses
• Engineering disciplines.
• Geosciences.
• Information Technology.
• Pure Sciences and Environmental Sciences.
• Social Sciences and Arts.
• Commercial and business-related courses.
2. Programme Objectives
• Apply classroom theories and concepts to real workplace situations.
• Develop work-related skills through structured supervision and constructive feedback.
• Acquire additional competencies such as communication, ethics, HSSE awareness, teamwork, and leadership.

4. Who Can Apply?
• Must be a Nigerian citizen.
• Must be a full-time undergraduate student in a recognised university or polytechnic in Nigeria.
• Must have official school approval for Industrial Training.
• Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or higher.
