OAU Admission List for 2025/2026 Session Now Released
The admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has now been released. Candidates who applied for admission and participated in the screening exercise can now check their status via the relevant portals.
Quick Insight: Checking your admission status early and completing the acceptance process is key to securing your place — especially as universities release lists in batches and deadlines may apply.
1. How to Check Your Status
• Visit the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) E-Facility portal and log in with your registration number and password.
• Click on “Check Admission Status” and select “Access my CAPS”.
• Under “Admission Status”, review the response. If offered, your photo and congratulatory message will show; if not, it will read “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet”.
• If you’ve been offered admission, you may need to Accept or Reject the offer via SMS or online as per instructions (such as sending ACCEPT or REJECT to a short code, or using the portal).
2. What the Statuses Mean
• **Admission Offered** – Congratulations! You’ve secured admission and should follow the next steps for acceptance and registration.
• **Admission in Progress (AIP)** – Your admission is still being processed; it’s not yet finalized.
• **Recommended** – Your application has been reviewed and forwarded to JAMB for further approval; it’s not yet confirmed.
• **Not Admitted / Pending** – No admission yet; you may still be considered in later batch releases.
3. What You Should Do If You’re Admitted
• Accept or reject the offer within the specified time frame (commonly 4 weeks) to avoid losing your place.
• Print your JAMB admission letter and keep a copy for clearance and registration at the university.
• Prepare for departmental registration, clearance fees, and other onboarding steps at OAU.
• Watch for announcements regarding resumption dates, hostel allocation, and orientation for the incoming session.
4. What If You’re Not Yet Admitted
• Don’t panic — many universities release admission lists in multiple batches over time.
• Regularly check your JAMB CAPS status and the OAU admission portal for updates.
• Ensure you’ve met all requirements (O’Level results uploaded, Post-UTME screening completed, your details are correct) so that you remain eligible.
• Consider change of institution/course if you’ve been left out for a long time and other options appear more favourable.
